Meeting notes for India–US teams

Verbiva is a meeting assistant that detects the spoken language by itself, so a meeting that slides from English into Hindi, Gujarati or Tamil and back needs no setting. Each person then reads the notes in the language they choose, and the team sees only the points you decide to share.

Why is this hard for most meeting tools?

Some tools ask you to pick one language before you record, or write the notes in whichever language was spoken most (see the Otter and Granola comparisons). A team where the Pune side jokes in Hindi and the Austin side only reads English ends up with notes that suit nobody.

What does Verbiva do in these meetings?

  • Detects the language as people talk. Every recording starts on Auto-detect, and each part of the recording (about 30 seconds) gets its own language.
  • Supports the languages these teams use. You can set English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam on a meeting, among 21 languages.
  • Writes the summary in your language. You read it in English; a teammate you share it with reads the shared points in Hindi.
  • Answers in the language you ask in. Ask in Hindi whether the launch date was set, and the answer comes back in Hindi.
  • Turns action items into follow-ups with who and when, and lets you add them to a calendar.

Still being tested: mixed-language tests so far switch languages between sentences. Mixing inside one sentence, as in Hinglish, hasn't been tested yet.

How do I share notes across the two offices?

  1. Create a team in Verbiva and invite your colleagues with an invite link (once).
  2. Press Share on a meeting, pick the team or a share link, and tick the points to include.
  3. Check the preview: it shows exactly what they'll see.

They get a frozen copy. Team members read it in the language they chose. Your later edits stay yours until you choose Update shared version, and they never see the transcript or the recording.

Team workspaces, with an owner, admins and hours pooled across seats, come with the Team plan, which isn't on sale at launch.

Does it work on calls?

  • In a room: yes. Put the phone or laptop near the middle of the table.
  • On a call, from the website: Verbiva hears only your microphone. With headphones, it doesn't hear the other side at all.
  • On a call, from the Mac or Windows app (planned for launch day, 8 Dec 2026): it records the computer's sound and your microphone, with no bot joining.
  • Calendars: connect Google Calendar or Outlook to see today's meetings on Home and get a reminder 2 minutes before a call.

What about privacy and consent?

  • Every meeting starts private; nothing reaches the team unless you share it.
  • Before each recording, you confirm that everyone knows and agreed. It's saved with the meeting. Recording rules differ between India, US states and other countries: tell people every time.
  • Optional: hide email addresses, phone numbers and card, bank and ID numbers in what's shown and what the AI reads. It reduces what's shown but doesn't catch everything, and audio isn't masked.

What does it cost?

The free plan has every language feature: 2 hours of transcription a month and recordings up to 90 minutes. Paid plans add more hours; payments aren't on at launch. Open in India, the US and most other places; not in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Quebec for now. See pricing.
